Atelier Workplace Molenpad was established in 1975. It is located in a government owned building in the canal belt of Amsterdam near the famous shopping street, Leidseplein. It was started through an initiation of an Artists Collective, in dutch known as Kunstenaars Collectief Molenpad (K.C.M) The founding members of this collective were Herbert de Jonge, Michiel Czn. Dhont and Hans Houtman. During these 30 years they have collaborated with colleagues in other art disciplines in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and abroad. Their colleagues are among the disciplines of fine artists, musicians, actors, poets, writers, conductors and composers. Members of the K.C.M are located on the second floor of the former school building located on Molenpad. Since the summer of 2009, fine artist Michiel Czn. Dhont, who originally set up the Atelier at Werkplaats Molenpad in 1975, transferred this remarkable fine art atelier to his colleague fine artist Daniella Rubinovitz.Daniella is an active member within the KCM. She offers workshops and annual courses in dynamic, improv art expression. Michiel Czn. Dhont remains within the K.C.M. as a band with the music trio ‘O.BA.O’ in the music studio of the K.C.M.
