TIP OF THE MONTH

Welcome to April!

Sending big waves of creativity from Amsterdam, and introducing Noah, who was born like a rocket on March 14th!  We are all doing very well and eager of all that spring has to offer!

Jewel Akens captured this seasons vibrations in his lyrics . . .The Birds & The Bees! Here we go (go ahead. . .a little Karaoke for you – hear song on youtube):

. . . Let me tell ya ’bout the birds and the bees / And the flowers and the trees / And the moon up above / And a thing called ‘Love’ . . .

Let me tell ya ’bout the stars in the sky /And a girl and a guy / And the way they could kiss / On a night like this . . .

When I look into your big brown eyes / It’s so very plain to see / That it’s time you learned about the facts of life / Starting from A to Z . . .

Let me tell ya ’bout the birds and the bees / And the flowers and the trees / And the moon up above / And a thing called ‘Love’ (Yeah) . . .

When I look into your big brown eyes / It’s so very plain to see / That it’s time you learned about the facts of life / Starting from a to z . .

Let me tell ya ’bout the birds and the bees / And the flowers and the trees
And the moon up above / And a thing called ‘Love’ . . .

Let me tell ya ’bout the birds and the bees / And the flowers and the trees / And the birds and the bees / And the flowers and the trees, ’bout the birds . . .

And the bees / And the bees / And the bees . . .

Our tip this month is to spring outside and observe the metamorphosis of the budding vegetation all around (of course that is if you are in the northern hemisphere!).

  1. Pick a particular tree or plant.
  2. Sketch and observe it over a week or two.You can use colored or graphite pencils best to capture the details. . .
  3. Notice how the leaf or flower unfolds and unwraps itself into bloom

This can be such an amazing experience! If you aren’t able to get outside, you can choose a budding plant indoors. We are simply observing nature grow and unravel itself. Really take the time to do this!

Ps. Video series still on way. . .we took a little NOAH pause. . .and now back into swing!
