TIP OF THE MONTH

This November, not only are the leaves in the air, but political discussions, elections, relief, post election debates, health, Covid, lockdown, no lockdown, lockdown, masks.. . .

It all is quite much to follow along, digest and handle.. . and we are approaching the end of the year. For small businesses like my own it’s been tough. All the restrictions have kept teams working from home. . .and so it is.

The good side on my personal end is the ever focus on Public Art projects. Submitting proposals is something I am getting pretty good at. There was quite an interesting learning curve to go about it.

So above, I created this short video in layers in what this time would look like if it were a painting. Starting with the leaves falling, a whirlwind of a blur and in the end nature shows up. Nature grounds the painting down as a tree would stand firm, and manage its cycle of renewed energy. This connection to the core is so important to focus on and not get swayed into the cloud of indecision.

I feel grateful that there is some common sense in Amsterdam, with partial lockdown. I wish you and your family safety and at ease in your situation for sure. For the future I trust that we will maintain our personal health choices that meet our unique beliefs.

The painting that I made above, reminds me how connection to the core is easiest for me when i am out in nature. This is not a freedom to be enjoyed everywhere at the moment. In principle lockdown could be handy for some quiet time of deep meditation, though I have found that this is not easily done with kids. If you have tips, love to hear. .. ha ha.

So in this time I feel it more so that we must connect to each other, fight loneliness and keep our minds strong. Confused minds hardly every make clear choices. In these times these choices will be important for future generations. Oh my, such statements coming from my ticking fingers on the keyboard.

Needless to say, I wish you a fun month to experience nature as a full immersive experience . . .Do enjoy the monthly tip.
