IMPROVISATIONAL PAINTING WEEK RETREAT

IMAGINE– a full immersion, DECOMPRESSION week in Amsterdam this summer! Discover INNER COLOR through ART in this magical, FUN historical city of Amsterdam. We will spend each morning by getting our hands dirty by CREATING with a guided ADVENTURE in color session at Atelier Molenpad – our historic studio located in the heart of Amsterdam. Then, in the afternoon – create your own adventure, and explore life in Amsterdam! There are endless possibilities as our studio is situated with lots of shops, museums, as well as restaurants and eateries in every direction!

Join us for an unforgettable week, and increase confidence through the creative arts and strengthen your contact with your INNER GUIDES! Transform your being while having fun, and unveil the REAL YOU!

Morning Schedule: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

There will be a total of 6 guided courses throughout the week. Topics include:

Rituals that awaken the creative energy
Expressive painting adventures in color
Making your own paints (water soluble oil, and acrylics)
Intuitive movement in painting
Intuitive Voice in color
Layering and photo collage techniques
Expressive Inspiration from the figure

Afternoon Schedule:

1:30 pm to 6:00 pm Create your own adventure in our studio and/or around Amsterdam. Ideas include:

Continue to draw/paint in studio
Reflect,meditate and sketch on the lawn at nearby Vondelpark
Gaining inspiration from historical museums (a museum card can be purchased) Art Galleries Pampering body treatments (massage, acupuncture, sensory deprivation tanks- all by personal appointment) Leisurely strolls around the boutiques in the Jordaan area around the studio
- Van Gogh Museum
- The newly opened Rijksmusum (Rembrant, Vermeer)
- Stedelijk Museum (Modern Art)
- Anne Frank House
Food and sweets around town
Boat excursions on the canals
Bicycle tours of town
Visiting sites outside of Amsterdam

Course Info and Materials: The EARLYBIRD fee for the full week is Euro 310 (US$397).This includes local 21% tax. (enrollment limited to 10 participants). All art materials for the first two (2) days are included. Afterwards, materials may be purchased at art supply stores nearby. Fees for external activities, such as museums, excursions etc. . . are not included in course fee. Individual classes will be given by guest docents and Daniella Rubinovitz.

Accommodations: Self-arranged. However, if you’re visiting from out of town, and/or looking for a roommate, we can help to match up participants for housing. Contact us for more information. This will be a week to awaken your senses and focus on yourself. These experiences are put together so that we can connect deeply to ourselves. And listen to what are guides have to tell us.

Individual classes will be given by guest docents and Daniella Rubinovitz. There will be lots of time for you to nurture and connect deeply to your self. The studio setting is all wooden, carrying with it a superb energy for balance within your soul. Gain insights by allowing your subconscious to visually emerge out of your consciousness.
