Color Fun . . .
TIP OF THE MONTH
Fun with colors as inspiration sets off with the colors of the fully bloomed fruit and vegetables.. .(at least in the northern hemisphere!) I am now in Greece with my parents in law. It is hot hot hot over here and I am amazed with how fast the produce grows!
It’s this time of year that we create our annual tie-dye! See video above for this tie-dye inspiration. It’s about play, color and mega experimentation. . .each year brings more ideas on how to tie the elastics and fold the fabric. It’s a magical and unique experience each time. Great to do with kids! Extra bonus fun is to wear these items all year round. It simply keeps this summertime experience alive!

Fish, 80cm bronze sculpture is at the foundry to be cast.
Like a Fish out of Water, 5 meter free standing piece is available for exhibit or purchase. Perfect for indoor atrium space.
Flying Fish is an 8 meter aerial sculpture, Price Sculpture Forest, Whidbey Island, Washington State (North-West of Seattle). It is on exhibit year long throughout 2022. ( https://sculptureforest.org/visit/ )

E) SMART Coaching 1:1? Curious about what could be expected about working with me in a private coaching session? I combine an in-depth experience in most art discipline processes from drawing, to painting to sculpture with Art Therapy (I’m an Art Therapist) and Coaching (an CTI/ ICF certified Coach) with clients on a range of personal development topics. I use art as an initial tool to get an accurate picture of what is happening in the here and now. . .followed up with verbal coaching.

OUR EXERCISE THIS MONTH:
Tie – Dye . . .
- Set aside some items that you would like to experiment with. White fabric offer most contrast.
- Use rope or elastics to make various pleating of the fabric. (many examples online)
- Choose some liquid dye colors and generously apply to the fabric.
- Let is soak in for 24 hours, for brightest colors.
- Cut the ropes or elastics.
- Rinse off in cold waters until no dye releases anymore.
- Let is dry.
- Enjoy the colors and patterns! Well done!
