TIP OF THE MONTH

2022 ! Here we go! The thought crossed my mind that we were repeating a ‘groundhog year’ . . . in other words, a repeat of last year. Mostly because Amsterdam is again in lockdown. However now I experience that the energy is quite different. Things feel that they are shifting, happening. . . knock on wood, I can speak best about my personal perspective, as I have had experienced some project shifts which make me feel optimistic and fulfilled.

On that note. I am setting my goals for the year out on the table. Quite literally, as you will see in the video above. . .as in, all over my studio. Just makes sense for me plus. . . I have been granted space to do so. In the video above you can get a glimpse of the projects that I am working on. Completing these projects creates fulfillment and focus for at least the first half of this year. I plan to share my process with you on social media @daniellarubinovitz on Instagram mostly and in these newsletters so definitely stay tuned.

At the studio. . .workshops at the studio have been postponed due to regulations and we are waiting for the next press conference. In the meantime, as you can see on my video above, the studio is taken over by art. . .and this will be continuing in order to fulfill these projects.  I have been especially grateful for the repeat clients, group as individual who come weekly. My experience during this pandemic/ endemic are that the regulations have always allowed individual sessions to continue.

Again… more info about my art and process is always on my instagram account @daniellarubinovitz.

More info on what is happening at the studio is on instagram @ateliermolenpad

In the studio, contact me when you are ready to join in on team building workshops (on ZOOM.) Do inquire with me prior to booking your session(s).

Please do contact me about Art Piece commissions, or make an appointment to visit my gallery in the studio. Artworks are for purchase.

Wishing you healthy and fulfilled start to 2022!

OUR EXERCISE THIS MONTH:

Spray paint art  . . . in the video this month, you will see my boys having a grand time at it.

  1. You will need spray paint that will work best in your space. With the kids, as shown in video, I used a water based acrylic spray paint. It needs less ventilation. . . with the kids we took air breaks in the hallway which allowed the paint to settle a bit.
  2. Spray away one layer of the other. You can best remove the nozzle and reuse on next spray can so as nozzle doesn’t get blocked.
  3. Play with tilting the paper of canvas to allow the paint to drip.
  4. When the paint becomes thick, it could make gorgeous chemical reactions with the colors.
  5. Play with template ideas, which can easily be ripped from regular paper.
  6. Scratch through the paints, experiment with brush work, add more layers, combine colors.
  7. After it is dry, spray it with a clear varnish to bring back the shine.
  8. Doing forget to remove the nozzles and wash them so as to reuse them later.
  9. Like to share a picture? Post your art and findings instagram @daniellarubinovitz  & @ateliermolenpad. . .or Contact me for more on this topic.
