TIP OF THE MONTH

This is a fabulous season for art routes. Have you been on some yet? Please reach out to me and share which ones you have gone to and recommend! What I love most about art routes, besides viewing and interacting with inspiring art, is to discover new areas, villages, neighborhoods, cultures etc. Last month I was invited to participate in Kunstmoment Diepenheim. It was a hugsuccess. Having amazing weather only inspired even more visitors!

Currently, my work is taking part in n Grensloosekunstverkennen, located in Ijhorst & De Wijk, a one hour and three quarter drive from center of Amsterdam. Again, It’s so perfect to get out and explore all parts the country. So do come and visit  this is an 8 kilometer art route (https://grenslooskunstverkennen.nl). Open daily 11-5:00pm until 29th of May. Check out my process @daniellarubinovitz on Instagram. This is an art route so lots of soul inspiring art to check out!

Do check out more info about my art and process on my instagram account @daniellarubinovitz.

Feel invited to contact to me about Art Piece commissions, or make an appointment to visit my gallery in the studio. Artworks are for purchase.

In the studio, contact me when you are ready to join in on team building workshops (also on ZOOM, though in person is such a rounded experience.) Do inquire with me prior to booking your session(s).

Wishing you meaningful days, especially with the decisions being made globally.

OUR EXERCISE THIS MONTH:

Dig in and create with mega amounts of clay. . .

  1. Grab a mega amount of clay . . .I know this can be tricky at home perhaps go out to nature to find some river clay. .. or mud. . .tis the perfect season for this. . .as the weather can vary.
  2. Start with transforming the mass of clay into small bun sized bits of clay/ mud.
  3. Place a small (coin size) bit of clay on ground/ table as bottom center of your piece.
  4. Build up around this seed, by adding generous bits of clay with your eyes closed until you have built up a large tower, that reaches about heart level.
  5. Then take a step back and observe with your eyes open.
  6. Look at it through a new lens. .. for instance: the relation between the inner and outer form? or perhaps the directional force that the forms are taking?
  7. Keep going with your eyes closed. Feel free to transform it by taking away or adding more clay.
  8. When you are done, what do you notice? What does it remind you of? What else?
  9. Like to share a picture? Post your art and findings instagram @daniellarubinovitz  & @ateliermolenpad. . .or Contact me for more on this topic.
