TRANSFORMATIONS

TIP OF THE MONTH

Here we are deep in the core of January. Personally, I feel transformations happening all around. Globally and on a local level. Internally too, similar to the metamorphosis development of a butterfly, things are shifting. I have clarity on where I am spending my energy and what I am investing my time into. Love to hear how this is going for you?

Clearly there is a need to create a mega butterfly sculpture to celebrate this and as a reminder to us all that life works in cycles. Within this cycle it’s a blessing to be able to have support to transform into the butterfly that we are meant to be.

I am working now as a full time artist. I am pleased to say that the occasional workshops land in the studio in such a way that I get to focus on the needs of fulfilling artworks. These workshops are a gift on many levels too. It helps support the arts and also lets me share art invitations to those who would normally not take the time to express themselves through art.

Speaking of which, my art pieces is for purchase directly from studio. Also events take place here too. Let’s set up an in person or (virtual) appointment to visit my studio.

More images on my process and art? Most pieces are available and can be shipped. Check out more on my instagram account @daniellarubinovitz.

Besides my art, there are group workshops in the studio, bookable as a group. . . Let’s plan a date. Contact me when you have a group that would like to partake in a workshop. Teambuilding, group of friends or other type of group. Adult or kids group. Do inquire with me about possibilities, prior to booking your session(s).

Wishing you a meaningful 2023 and that you are able to transform and fulfill your full potential. Sending you big hugs to you and yours.

Let’s stay in contact!

OUR EXERCISE THIS MONTH:

Spray paint art  . . .

  1. You will need spray paint that will work best in your space. With kids,  I use a water based acrylic spray paint. It needs less ventilation. . .
  2. Spray away one layer of the other. You can best remove the nozzle and reuse on next spray can so as nozzle doesn’t get blocked.
  3. Play with tilting the paper of canvas to allow the paint to drip.
  4. When the paint becomes thick, it could make gorgeous chemical reactions with the colors.
  5. Play with template ideas, which can easily be ripped from regular paper.
  6. Scratch through the paints, experiment with brush work, add more layers, combine colors.
  7. After it is dry, spray it with a clear varnish to bring back the shine.
  8. Doing forget to remove the nozzles and wash them so as to reuse them later.
  9. Like to share a picture? Post your art and findings instagram @daniellarubinovitz  & @ateliermolenpad. . .or Contact me for more on this topic.
